A feature of Craig’s approach has been the promotion of HR as a critical commercial function. Not a lover of the limelight he prefers  to work quietly, effectively and with  persistence. 

But it is impossible to ignore the 7 national awards that the organisation has been recognised with during Craig’s tenure.

One of his most significant successes has been persuading Directors and Senior Managers of the huge benefits of actively working on the organisational culture.

A focus on developing wellness programmes and treating people fairly and respectfully has yielded huge benefits for Manukau City Council in terms of employee engagement and productivity.
