Narelle Burke

Narelle Burke commenced as Human Resources Manager at New Zealand Cricket (NZC) in January 2008.  This is a new role, which was created with the intent to develop and implement a best practice human resources (HR) framework and to build strong people capability throughout the whole organisation.

Before joining NZC, Narelle was Group HR Manager for HumanWare, a Christchurch-based company specialising in the design and manufacturing of assistive technology for the blind and vision impaired.  HumanWare has product design and manufacturing centres in New Zealand and Canada, and sales and distribution offices in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Asia and New Zealand. 

Narelle has over 14 years experience in HR and has worked for a diverse range of organisations, including Royal Caribbean International, Medibank Private, Ansett Australia, Vodafone, Nomad Telecommunications, Dunklings and Kraft Foods.  She is passionate about HR and how it partners with the business to improve overall people and performance outcomes. 

Narelle has a double degree in Applied Science/Education from Deakin University, Melbourne Australia.
