2009/2010 HRINZ HR Generalist of the Year Distinction Awards

Karen Boyte

Karen Boyte  (MBS (Hons), BBS, NZDipBus  MHRINZ)  is currently Human Resource Manager at TrustPower Ltd. 
In 2009 TrustPower was named one of the Hewitt, The RBL Group and FORTUNE Top Companies for Leaders in the Asia Pacific region following global research.  Andrew Bell from Hewitt (Australia and New Zealand) said “Top Companies such as TrustPower have an intense focus on talent and their leadership programs are practical, relevant and aligned with business goals--in good times and in bad. Karen has facilitated HRINZ HR Foundations courses since 2005 and has written Workplace Dilemmas for Employment Today Magazine since 2006.  Karen’s Masters Thesis focussed on Job Design and Wellness in New Zealand Contact Centres. 

Karen is passionate that HR should add value to the bottom line of the company and that HR’s role is an enabler of Managers so that they can enable and empower their staff.
